Yorkshire businesses leading the way in their use of digital

Later this month, Leeds Business Week’s B2B Digital Transformation event will reveal how Yorkshire businesses are leading the way in their use of digital compared to their Southern counterparts.

At the Digital Transformations event Sharp Ahead will share findings of the Yorkshire Digital Benchmarking Report which showed that while 62% of businesses in Yorkshire had significant problems with their online presence, this figure rises to 80% for Southern companies.

The findings also show that in the UK as a whole, 76% of businesses were not using Google AdWords, while 56% of websites are not responsive. With 89% of business-to-business decision makers using the Internet within their buying journey, Sharp Ahead will discuss how businesses close this gap using digital tools.

Jennifer Esty, Director of Sharp Ahead’s Wakefield office, “We’re really excited to supporting Leeds Business Week and celebrate digital excellence in Yorkshire.  Our research shows that we’ve established a hub of digital leadership within the Northern Powerhouse and beyond.  We want to help businesses realise their full potential and how digital transformation can fuel this.”

Amber Hammond from The Yorkshire Mafia, Leeds Business Week’s organisers adds, “It’s great to have exciting young businesses like Sharp Ahead involved with our week.  Learning, collaboration and innovation is really at the heart of our week and the team at Sharp Ahead are set to bring this to life at their event.”
