The Yorkshire Mafia makes its mark on Wakefield

With a commitment to extend its schedule of drinks evenings across the region, the Yorkshire Mafia (YM) will return to Unity Works in Wakefield for its Wakey Wakey event which will take place on Thursday 28th September from 6–11pm.

The event will give businesses in the area an opportunity to make new professional contacts whilst also re-connecting with valuable, longstanding associates in a friendly, informal and sales-free environment.

Kate Hutchinson, General Manager at the YM, comments:

“We know from previous events that there are so many dedicated and ambitious business people in Wakefield that want the opportunity to unwind with other professionals, which is why our drinks evenings are really picking up momentum in the district.”

Capitalising upon its affinity with the values of the YM, Open Communications, the straight-talking PR agency, will sponsor the event in celebration of a successful nine-years in business, which has seen the agency work with some of the biggest brands in the UK.

Lindsey Davies, Director of Open Communications, comments:

“As strong supporters of Yorkshire business, we’ve always attended the YM events and not only are they great for business, but we’ve also found them to be really enjoyable and relaxed. Celebrating our ninth year in business, what better way to mark the occasion than to sponsor the drinks evening and encourage people to come along to meet, chat and let their hair down.”

With the Yorkshire Mafia’s network of 22,000 members, the events offer a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure in front of a wide range of businesses. For details of sponsorship packages, please contact Kate Hutchinson, [email protected].
