Zac returns to his roots for Yorkshire finance role

Zac Roberts, ABL Business

Zac Roberts has been appointed trainee Finance Administration Assistant at commercial finance brokerage ABL Business – a new role created as part of the company’s ongoing growth.

He will provide frontline office services, acting as a first point of contact for clients, managing office systems and databases as well as representing the Yorkshire-based company at business meetings and events.

Zac, 22, is originally from Halifax and a graduate of Leeds Beckett University. He recently returned to the UK from Jersey where he worked in the finance sector for Lloyds Bank International.

He said: “I was given the option to stay longer in Jersey, but felt the time was right to come home and put down roots with a company where I can envisage a long-term future in the finance sector. I’m now looking forward to building relationships with local businesses while progressing my UK career with ABL Business who are very supportive about personal development.”

Alongside his current role at the Cleckheaton-based company, he will be given the opportunity to undertake London Institute of Banking and Finance training towards becoming a fully-fledged Commercial Finance Broker.

Joint Managing Director of ABL Business Alex Beardsley said: “We’re delighted to welcome Zac to the team. We’re committed to encouraging more young people into the finance sector as well as supporting Continuous Professional Development for all our team members, which strengthens the support we can provide to businesses. We feel certain that Zac will quickly develop his skills across the whole sector and prove to be a great asset to our business.”
