Zenith is the best performing Leeds-headquartered company on the Top 100 apprenticeship employers ranking. The achievement follows the expansion of the company’s apprenticeship scheme and continued investment in training.

Overall Zenith placed 36 in the Top 100 which celebrates the country’s outstanding apprenticeship employers and will help potential apprentices, parents and careers advisers to easily identify apprenticeship opportunities with high performing employers.

Commenting on the achievement Marisa Waddington, HR director at Zenith, said: “Our people underpin everything we do. Our inclusion in the Top 100 apprenticeship employers 2020 is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

The news follows Zenith winning national recognition from HRH Princess Royal for an industry-leading training programme. It was one of a select few companies to win the award for the third time and was commended for a commitment to training and skills development, along with supporting a culture of compliance.

The Princess Royal Training Award from the City & Guilds Group recognises businesses that create a lasting impact by successfully linking their skills development needs to business performance.

Zenith plans to continue to grow its apprenticeship scheme and provide development opportunities for the business leaders of tomorrow. The scheme contributes to significant recruitment targets and supports Zenith’s commitment to the local community.

Waddington concluded: “Developing talent from within is integral to our continued success. Our apprentices take an active role across our business, and the scheme has delivered many benefits.”
