The North West entrepreneurs behind PelliTec®, the innovative blister prevention pad, are celebrating five successful years working together by announcing exciting plans for 2021.
The team first started working together in 2016 and spent the following three years developing the PelliTec® Blister Prevention pad. Having launched it in 2019, PelliTec® has continued to go from strength to strength with sales of the pad coming in from around the globe.
The success is set to continue throughout 2021 with the team announcing a new UK distributor – DLT Podiatry.
Peter Broxton, a Director of the PelliTec® team, said: “We’ve had an incredible five years and have seen the success of our blister prevention pad soar. DLT Podiatry joining the rosta of companies agreeing to distribute our product demonstrates the belief that we have, knowing that it works and really helps people who suffer with hotspots and blisters.
“As a team we’re really excited for the next 12 months because we have a packed year of activities planned to include further product innovation and product launches as well as developing key strategic partnerships.”
As part of the five-year anniversary celebrations, the PelliTec® team has announced a partnership with JDRF, the type 1 diabetes charity that funds research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.
As part of the agreement, PelliTec® will be providing samples to 250 participants taking part in this year’s London marathon.
Continuing with its programme of commercial opportunities, the PelliTec® team is also sponsoring the UK’s largest Nordic Walking event which takes place in September 2021.
The PelliTec® team will be also continue its work on the ‘proof of concept’ study at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals seeing how its support in the management of diabetic foot conditions can be proven and accredited.
