Beal launches exclusive initiative to help first-time buyers onto property ladder

Award-winning housebuilder Beal Homes has launched an exclusive initiative to help first-time buyers take their first step on the property ladder.

The Beal Launch Pad initiative offers buyers £5,000 towards their deposit, or to spend on extras and upgrades on their new home, as well as up to £1,000 towards legal fees.

The offer can be used on its own or alongside the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, but buyers must have the deposit required by their mortgage lender.

The Help to Buy scheme, which is available to all buyers of new homes, not just first-time purchasers, makes it possible to secure a new Beal home with just the 5% deposit.

It enables house hunters to access a Government equity loan of up to 20% of the value of the property, which can be repaid at any time or on the sale of the home.

East Yorkshire-based Beal also recommends an independent mortgage advisor to help customers take advantage of Help to Buy.

Tanisha Arthur became the first buyer to take up the Launch Pad offer, alongside Help to Buy, when reserving her plot during a recent preview event for Beal’s new Bishop’s Green development in Welton, Lincolnshire.

Situated just a few miles from the heart of historic Lincoln, Bishop’s Green offers a range of two, three and four bedroom homes, as well as two and three bedroom bungalows, alongside a 22-acre green space and woodland walk.

Tanisha purchased her two bedroom Tribeca terraced property for £169,995 and is looking forward to moving into her new home when it is completed in mid-2020.

The 25-year-old midwife said: “Buying your first property is hard, never mind buying one on your own, so it’s great to be able to use Launch Pad and Help to Buy at the same time.

“Buying my own home would have been so much more of a struggle without Launch Pad and everyone at Beal has been so helpful to me.

“I don’t know of any other housebuilder that offers a scheme like Launch Pad and it’s great that it can be used either towards your deposit or to customise your home.

“I had the money I needed for a deposit but wanted to personalise my new home and Launchpad has enabled me to do that. I’m so excited to move in next year.”

The Launch Pad initiative is available on the housebuilder’s First Step and Aspire property ranges, as well as on all homes in the Fruit Market development in Hull city centre.

First Step covers Beal’s range of one, two and three bedroom homes, while Aspire features larger three bedroom homes, as well as the four bedroom Langdale house type.

The Fruit Market development ranges from one bedroom apartments overlooking Humber Street, priced at £154,995, to three bedroom townhouses, with car port, at £264,995.

Beal builds homes for the full range of buyers, from one or two bedroom starter homes to exclusive detached properties, with the same attention to detail, build quality and customer service applied at every level.

The company continues to support first-time buyers, building high-quality homes for people trying to get onto the property ladder and offering outstanding value. A prime example is a one bedroom apartment with a generous plot and gardens currently for sale at The Swale in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, for just £89,995.

Sue Waudby, Beal Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Despite important support such as Help to Buy, it remains difficult for young people to get onto the property ladder and we want to do all we can to make home ownership as accessible as possible.

“That’s why we’ve introduced Launch Pad and made it available alongside Help to Buy, so first-time buyers can benefit from both initiatives to make their dream of owning their own home a reality.

“We know that saving for a deposit and covering legal fees are two of the biggest challenges facing first-time buyers. That’s why Launchpad provides customers buying their first property with an additional up to £6,000 to cover those costs.

“Our aim is to support all of our customers every step of the way and Launch Pad is no exception, providing first-time buyers with an exclusive offer to give them a helping hand as they choose, buy and settle into their new home.”

Mrs Waudby added that assistance for Beal buyers extended beyond financial support.

“Applying for your first mortgage can be daunting and perhaps a little confusing,” she said. “That’s why we also put our customers in touch with an independent expert who offers independent and impartial advice on a no-fee basis.

“All Beal buyers also have the opportunity to customise internal layouts and fixtures, fittings and furnishings through our unique Customer Selection Studio where they work with our expert designers to create a home to suit their lifestyle perfectly.”
