Inspiring workspace providers Bruntwood Works were out in force on Blue Monday, as the team set out to beat the January blues by cheering up commuters in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.
Health-boosting and winter warming treats including coffee, reusable water bottles, fruit, chocolates and desk plants were given out in all four cities, with all gifts carefully designed to inspire workers to get the most out of the new year and put a smile on faces throughout the city.
In Leeds, Bruntwood Works treated commuters to a delicious hot drink for the ultimate morning wake up, along with desk plants which have been proven to boost productivity.
Whilst in Manchester, the Uplifted Voices Gospel Choir entertained the public passing 111 Piccadilly with their unique rendition of Blue Monday by New Order. The 111 building was also lit up for the evening by it’s new 200ft innovative lighting installation, giving a preview of what the full lighting scheme designed by Luke Artingstall, director and founder of Artin Light, will look like when it is launched later this year.
James McCracken, Head of Marketing at Bruntwood Works, said: “With the festivities of Christmas over and the winter blues in our midst, we wanted to go the extra mile to put a spring in the step of commuters across the city. It was great to see such a positive reaction and we hope our gifts were an extra bonus to brighten up their day.
“We pride ourselves on offering modern and inspirational workspaces that help a wide range of businesses thrive. These spaces also hugely contribute to the physical and mental wellbeing of our customers, whether that’s by providing state-of-the-art exercise facilities or a stimulating environment.”
