A Chester-based integrated marketing agency has reported a record year of business with revenues exceeding £5 million for the year ending 31st December 2022.

The business has added to its name with the trademarking of ArmstrongB2B® as it gears for further growth in 2023, expanding its presence across key geographies.

Based in Chester’s landmark Old Post Office, the 50-strong agency team works with world-leading industrial brands including Encirc, Kawneer and Sorg.

Daniel Owen, CEO of ArmstrongB2B®, said: “2022 was an important year for us as we reached a significant milestone. We saw our growth overseas continue, with nearly 70% of our revenue coming from customers outside of the UK. Throughout the year we made significant investments in new technologies, as well as research and development projects to enable our customers to enhance the communication and demonstration of their products and processes. We continue to support our customers in having a clear advantage over their competition by delivering integrated marketing and brand campaigns that either support an industry leading position, or challenge an established market.”

The agency also welcomed several new global clients in 2022 including wood panel manufacturer, Kronospan, and industrial technology leader, Grenzebach.

“To demonstrate our unwavering commitment to business-to-business brands, we’ve added to our name with the trademarking of ArmstrongB2B®. Industrial and manufacturing sectors remain the profound and unshakable focus for our agency. Our specialism in these sectors means we can offer invaluable insight into market activity, trends and behaviours, to ensure we create impactful and meaningful communication strategies that enable our customers to grow market share and maintain strong brand advocacy,” Daniel added.

The business expects to expand its team by a further 30% by the end of 2023 and is looking to appoint several key hires across its creative disciplines as well as operations. It also plans to expand its reach across Germany, Switzerland, USA and the Nordic and Scandinavian regions.

To support its growth plans, the agency has completed the final stage of its renovation of Chester’s Old Post Office, expanding into the building’s basement to create a further 4,500 sq. ft of office space and a state-of-the-art photography and videography studio, as well investing in new equipment to enhance its photography, CGI and motion capabilities.

ArmstrongB2B®’s Commercial Director, Laura Owen, added: “As an agency we’re extremely passionate about creating an inspiring place to work. This doesn’t just come from investing in the latest technology, it’s about building a place that people genuinely enjoy coming to – that brings out the best in individuals, both professionally and personally.

“We’ve forged relationships with local universities to deliver two successful open days that have led to several full-time hires for the agency. The hiring market is extremely competitive right now, but we’re committed to seeking out the right people to join ArmstrongB2B®; people who want to be part of a growing agency where they can actively contribute to what our future looks like,” she added.
