Headquartered in Runcorn, Drivers Direct, one of the UK’s leading providers of temporary and permanent drivers to commercial organisations, have unveiled the chosen charity for their year’s fundraising efforts as the NSPCC.
Each year the company’s charity is chosen by the Drivers Direct board after nominations open to all employees to put forward their choice of worthy cause. Previous beneficiaries of the company’s fundraising efforts include Marie Curie, Macmillan and the Victory Services Club – who last year received a donation of £2,500.
Gethin Roberts, Owner and Managing Director at Drivers Direct, comments: “Every year we highlight the importance of selecting a charity to raise money throughout the months. We believe in listening to our teams and working with the causes close to their hearts – the NSPCC was an excellent suggestion, and one we are incredibly proud to support this year and work hard to raise as much money as we can to help them.”
NSPCC fundraising manager Janette Drew adds: “We’re thrilled to have been selected as Drivers Directs Charity of the Year and would like to thank the staff who nominated us showing their support for our work for vulnerable children. Every penny raised for us helps us be there for children when they most need us, whether it’s through Childline’s around the clock service, teaching children to stay safe through our schools’ service, or receiving support from our centres.”
