Erris Homes begin work at new housing development in Almondbury

Groundworks have commenced at Leeds-based property builder Erris Homes’ latest housing development in Almondbury, Huddersfield.

Following their existing Barnsley, Leeds and Sheffield developments, Erris Homes are bringing an exciting new community of 39 new-build homes to the charming Huddersfield suburb of Almondbury. This new development, names Rosemeade, will consist of executive detached and semi-detached houses, offering a range of bedrooms and relaxation space, and modern high-spec features from local and national quality suppliers.

Since work began on their first development at Church View, Barnsley, in 2014, Erris Homes have benefited from overwhelming demand and have appointed a string of employees across Yorkshire to manage the new housing projects.

Director Scott Leather is confident that this ambitious new development in Almondbury will take the company to new heights: ‘Almondbury marks out our intentions to be Yorkshires leading independent house builder. The scale and location of Rosemeade are both a challenge, but with the team we’re assembling and the support of excellent sub-contractors and craftsmen, we really looking forward to what the future holds. The partnerships we are forming with leading international manufactures and Which? award-winning suppliers compounds the standards we are striving for. We’re also excited by forthcoming developments in Wharncliffe, Sheffield and in Doncaster.’

The new development at Almondbury will create local employment and a real sustainable boost to the area, and Erris Homes are hoping to engage local community groups and schools along the journey.

The first sales at Rosemeade are expected summer 2019, and the development is projected to be complete by mid-2020.
