Dowsing & Reynolds reveals preview of its first interiors store in Victoria Quarter Leeds

Leeds-based luxe home interiors brand Dowsing & Reynolds has announced it will open its first store, occupying a prime spot in sought-after shopping destination, the Victoria Quarter.

The 2,165 sq ft store, located opposite Reiss and Coach in the County Arcade, is set to open at the end of September and will span two floors.

The initial store concept was designed by James and Ally Dowsing-Reynolds alongside Leeds-based interior designer Karen Knox from Making Spaces. The final design and layout was then refined with the help of retail psychologist Kate Nightingale from Style Psychology. Very much a concept showroom offering something a little different to the norm, customers will be given a ‘walk-through’ experience, with a dedicated section for each room in the home. The shop will be entirely decorated in dark grey to accentuate the products.

Ally Dowsing-Reynolds, said: “Following seven years of trading online, we’re excited to announce work is almost complete on the fit out of our first store. We’re thrilled to be able to bring our products to life through a unique shopping experience, having secured a prime spot in the County Arcade.

“Renovating a home spans much more than a lick of paint and we want to take our customers on a journey through the details, showing them how to make their home more striking through design-led finishing touches. We can’t wait to open the doors to customers and our neighbours in the stunning Victoria Quarter – the opening date will be announced very soon!”

Dowsing & Reynolds launched in 2012 by James Dowsing-Reynolds, selling concrete based lamps and vintage style bulbs. Gathering momentum over the years, the brand now has a wide and varied portfolio and has scooped prestigious awards including Best Home & Garden, DIY & Tools eCommerce website in the eCommerce Awards in 2017, affirming its place in the design-led interior market.

The brand has been a cult favourite of interiors TV programmes for a number of years, having been featured on the likes of Grand Designs, The Interior Design Challenge, George Clarke’s Old House New Home and Ugly House to Lovely House.
