Homes in Drighlington Selling at Fastest Rate Ever

New Homes in Drighlington

A new homes development in the West Yorkshire village of Drighlington is already over 50% sold as homes continue to be reserved almost as soon as they are released.

Kings Park, a development by leading housebuilder Miller Homes, opened its doors over 12 months ago and has just been able to unveil a brand new show home to support demand for homes on the development.

“Kings Park, and historically Kings Mews, which is adjacent, has been a very popular development since work began there,” said Debbie Whittingham, Sales Director, Miller Homes Yorkshire. “With a variety of homes being built and plenty of open space and views over the valley, buyers benefit from a wide range of choice whether they are wanting to buy their first home, downsize to a more manageable size property or upgrade to an executive family home.

“And, with over 600 people who have expressed an interest, registered with us on our live database, demand shows few signs of decreasing.”

Currently, just one home, a four-bedroom Maplewood, priced at £377,995 is available for sale. A striking bay window provides a welcoming façade to the Maplewood home which gives way to appealing features such as a rear facing kitchen, dining and family room and a walk-through dressing area to the principal bedroom and ensuite.

This property, along with a four-bedroom Cedarwood, which is to be released very soon, can also be reserved online making the purchase process even easier for interested buyers.

“Drighlington is a wonderful place to call home, and this is reflected in the demand for houses at our current Kings Park development and our historic developments, Kings Mews and The Brookes,” said Debbie. “Its local community and facilities, along with its super location for commuting, only adds to its appeal.”

Stewart Lynes, Chief Executive Officer for Miller Homes said:
“We welcome the Chancellor’s changes to stamp duty announced on Friday, the increase in threshold in particular for first time buyers to £425k is significant and I’m sure will benefit many individuals across England looking to get onto the property ladder.

“The strategy introduced is a real shot in the arm for purchasers and particularity first time buyers and demonstrates the Government’s vision to unlock homeownership for a new generation.”
