Housebuilder supports local charities in the North East with new Community Fund Scheme

Five star housebuilder supports local charities and organisations in the North East with launch of Community Fund

Award-winning housebuilder, Barratt Developments North East, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, is celebrating the launch of its Community Fund; a scheme which will see a different local charity or organisation receive £1,000 from the housebuilder every month.

The local housebuilder has previously showcased its support to the communities in which it builds with regular donations and sponsorships to local charities. In addition to this, it also boasts its ‘donate a day’ volunteering programme, where staff are invited to spend a day with a charity of their choice. Previous charitable donations from Barratt Developments North East have supported include The Tiny Lives Trust and Alzheimer’s Society.

Carl Sobolewski, Managing Director of Barratt Developments North East commented: “There are a number of charities and organisations that make a huge difference to the people of the North East. It is really important to us that we give back to the communities in which we build and the Community Fund will allow us to achieve that. There are so many worthy causes who deserve to be recognised for the outstanding work they are doing and the Community Fund will do that! We are really looking forward to working with the charities who will benefit throughout 2019 and beyond.”
