A new Huddersfield based handmade children’s soft toys, and nursery decor brand, has partnered with ‘Bliss UK’ the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick, by pledging to donate 10% of the profits from their popular repurposed Memory Keepsake soft toys to the charity until February 2018.
The concept of repurposing baby clothes for toys and blankets is quickly becoming popular amongst parents on Pinterest, and the popularity of their own Keepsake Memory Soft Toy creations led ‘Edie & Joe’ to turn it into a charitable endeavour, to highlight the importance of being socially responsible, no matter how small your business, and simultaneously spreading Christmas spirit to both it’s customers and those in need during the festive period.
‘Edie & Joe’ Founder, Lauren Wroe commented “We make a wide range of soft toys, and our Keepsake Memory Soft Toys are always one of the most popular with parents, and now we’re starting to see grandparents, siblings, and other family members contact us to create them as a meaningful unusual Christmas present for their grandchildren, nieces, or nephews.
However we wanted to recognise that not all families will be lucky enough to be sat around a Christmas tree together this year, and for this reason Bliss seemed like the perfect charity to donate to for us, and support the incredible work they do helping premature babies, sick children, and their families.”
The Memory Keepsake Soft Toys can be made into either soft toy bunnies, or soft toy lions.
10% of the profits from each one sold will be donated to ‘Bliss’, the leading UK charity for the 95,000 babies born needing neonatal care every year, until 1st February 2018.
