The events transport company, Stagefreight, based in Leeds takes home two prestigious awards from SME News. Stagefreight received the Best Events Transport Company award for 2019, as well as the Eco-Friendly Road Fleet of the Year award.

The Best Events Transport Company award was won thanks to the company’s focus on customer service. Customer service is at the heart of what Stagefreight does. Drivers offer more than just transport, as they also support with loading, build and build-down. This can-do attitude combined with problem solving that runs throughout the company’s culture is the reason Stagefreight won Best Events Transport Company 2019.

The Eco-Friendly Road Fleet of the Year Award reflects Stagefreight’s commitment to eco-friendly transport. Over the last three years Stagefreight has invested heavily into its fleet of Euro 6 cab units. Moreover, all of the company’s drivers are trained in fuel-efficient driving, minimising costs and the company’s environmental impact.

Ian Uttley, one of Stagefreight’s directors, said:

“We are very excited about winning these awards. They reflect our commitment to our clients and on reducing our company’s carbon footprint.

Our clients are top priority. Expanding our services above and beyond what’s expected has proven its worth, and we look forward to working with our clients—old and new—for many years to come.”

Chris Adgie, Stagefreight’s other director, added:

“These awards are a massive success for Stagefreight. I’m enormously proud of what we’ve achieved.”

We wouldn’t have gotten this far without the fantastic work of our drivers. I’m grateful to all of them for the great work they’ve done—and will continue to do—on Stagefreight’s behalf.”

Stagefreight plans to expand its business in the near future. A new warehouse in Leeds is due to be opened, while the company is also planning to recruit more drivers.
