Arm software experts Linaro, are preparing to pivot to an exciting new digital format ahead of their next event this September.
The bi-annual event, which is usually held in the form of a physical conference, brings over 300 of the world’s leading open source engineers together for a week of engineering sessions and open source software development. As a result of Covid-19 and the concern for the safety of all attendees, this year’s event will be held virtually through a series of technical sessions taking place online.
Designed exclusively for developers working on Arm technology, the event will run over three days (22-24 September) and will welcome experts including Linaro’s Arnd Bergmann and Vincent Guittot as well as keynote speakers including Peter Robinson (Red Hat) “Why standardisation on the Edge is critical for success”. Carlo Piana (Array) will bring his experience as an IT lawyer to his talk “Respect! (R-E-S-P-E-C-T!)”. Jose Manrique López de la Fuente, CEO of Bitergia, will deliver the provocatively titled keynote “Let’s Butcher Software Development Analytics together: So you don’t have to when it really counts”.
Events Manager at Linaro, Kristine Dill, says that now is an important time for developers to come together and share their knowledge.
“The virtual connect event provides visitors the best platform to connect and interact, allowing influential speakers in the industry to share their expertise, and the event this September will be no different. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, we are delighted to still be able to deliver such an engaging event.”
The event will include 60 sessions and inspiring talks from Linux community experts together with interactive technical sessions, plus some entertainment including yoga and live music.
Linaro’s organising team and its global network of partners are some of the most prominent voices in the industry. During the three-day event, Linaro will deliver leading software updates on the latest topics, challenges and opportunities within the Arm ecosystem.
Access to all of the exclusive sessions is free and will be granted to those who have registered online prior to the event.
