Manchester agency defies Brexit worries with new international deal

Manchester-based digital brand marketing agency, I-COM, proves there is confidence in the city’s digital and creative industries in spite of Brexit fears, by securing an international client amongst four new contracts.

Checkmark IT, a multinational IT business with offices in Denmark and the UK, will utilise I-COM’s full spectrum of expertise, with the agency creating a completely new website that will be the hub of all SEO and brand marketing activity.

The appointment highlights international confidence in Manchester’s digital and creative industries, giving promise that the city’s reputation within these sectors will withstand the uncertainty of Brexit.

I-COM’s other new clients, Move Home Faster, The Urban Botanist and Transpartz Group, are all based in the North West.

The announcement comes just weeks after I-COM reported it was on course to exceed £2m turnover for the first time in its 13-year history, after re-focusing its business to become a specialist brand development agency.

Mike Blackburn, managing director of I-COM, said: “Re-focusing our business has proven to be hugely successful – since doing so, more businesses have come to us looking to utilise a wider range of the services and expertise we offer.

“The majority of our clients are still based in the North of England but we’re keen to target more business from further afield like Checkmark IT, regardless of the political landscape. In doing this, we can contribute to upholding Manchester’s reputation as a world-renowned hub of digital and creative innovation whilst cementing our position as Manchester’s leading digital brand development agency.”

Peter Therkildsen, founder and managing director of Checkmark IT, said: “We haven’t previously used a UK agency, but I-COM came highly recommended after achieving huge success for other brands in the IT industry.

“What stood out was their capability to communicate niche technical subjects into understandable and engaging language and I look forward to developing a long-standing relationship with the team.”

Manufacturer and supplier of living and artificial terrariums, The Urban Botanist, and Cheshire-based Move Home Faster, the residential property services brand of Beeston Shenton Solicitors, have both chosen I-COM to develop effective PPC, SEO and brand marketing campaigns to target new customers.

Additionally, Tranzparts Group – a 24/7 truck and trailer parts supplier – have instructed the Manchester-based agency to deliver a triple-site web design and development project.

I-COM is also near completion on a creative project with Glancy Fawcett, outfitters to superyacht, luxury aircraft and private residences, to support the Manchester-based brand’s new exclusive concession at Albany, The Bahamas – a luxury residential community.
