Morgans’ competition offers a luxurious taste of Leeds city life

A five star development of serviced apartments and one of Leeds city centre’s most popular restaurants, have joined forces with Morgans to launch the city living specialist’s biggest ever social media competition.

The lucky winner will enjoy a meal for two at award winning independent kitchen and bar ‘Shears Yard’ before spending the night at ‘The Bells’, a collection of seven beautifully-restored self-contained apartments within a historic building on Church Walk. The development has just been awarded the highest guest satisfaction level in Leeds and was recently awarded a nine out of ten rating in The Daily Telegraph’s travel pages.

Entrants simply need to visit Morgans’ Facebook page, tag the person they’d most like to share the experience with in ‘comments’ and share the post on their page. This is the latest in a string of highly successful competitions that Morgans has run over the last year offering the opportunity to experience the city’s finest restaurants, hotels and bars.

Jonathan Morgan, from Morgans, says: “We pioneered city living in Leeds over 20 years ago when there were just 500 people living here. Now there are more than 11,000 people living in the heart of the city and millions visiting every year, so it’s a really exciting place to be.

“Our job isn’t simply to sell or rent apartments – we are passionate about Leeds and everything it has to offer. Having run several Facebook competitions over the last year with a host of other fantastic bars, restaurants and hotels that regularly reach over 50,000 people, we’re really excited to launch this competition with ‘The Bells’ and ‘Shears Yard’. They’re both fantastic independent businesses which are really helping to put Leeds on the map and this competition will offer the winner the opportunity to experience city centre life at its best.”

Francesca MacDuff-Varley, director at ‘The Bells’, says: “Our exciting luxury serviced apartment concept is unique for the city of Leeds. Our location opposite the famous Leeds Minster inspired us to name each of the seven apartments after famous bells from around the world, and within our stunning building, which dates back to the 17th century, we have created spectacular individual spaces that give people visiting Leeds a really first-class place to stay. Our recent 9.9 rating in the guest review awards on booking.com and the 9/10 Daily Telegraph review have reinforced our belief that attention to detail, a perfect location and high-end design have combined to create the ultimate place to stay in Leeds. We are very excited that this competition will help raise even more awareness about the quality of what’s on offer in the city.”

Nic Routh, from ‘Shears Yard’, says: “We are really pleased to be partnering with ‘The Bells’ and Morgans. We have worked hard to create a relaxed environment and an adventurous menu that has received praise from several regional and national restaurant critics. We’re always keen to bring our special blend of friendly service, great food and a fabulous atmosphere to as many people as possible, and participating in this competition is a great way of joining forces with two other successful Leeds businesses to promote the best of what Leeds has to offer.”
