New board member right formula for chemical company

Airedale Chemical has announced a new appointment to its Board of Directors as the specialist chemical company enters a new and important year for the family-owned business.

Dan Marr takes on the role of Commercial Director after seven years at Airedale Chemical and will oversee the technical, compliance and marketing departments whilst continuing to support the company’s growing sales team.

Dan joined the company as marketing manager in 2011 moving to head of marketing in 2015 before being appointed to the board.

His role will involve the continued development of Airedale encompassing product development, scoping of new market opportunities and initiatives to increase efficiency in the running of the business.

Managing director of Airedale Chemical, Chris Chadwick, said: “Dan originally headed up our marketing department but over the last six years his role has diversified and increased in responsibility and he has excelled in all his positions.

“The Commercial Director role is a new position and will be incredibly important to Airedale Chemical in 2019 and beyond. We head into an important year for the company as we continue our plans to expand into new markets and industries whilst considering possible challenges presented by Brexit.

“We’re thrilled to have Dan on the board and are incredibly optimistic about the future with him as part of our senior team.”
Airedale Chemical, a third generation, family run company based in Cross Hills, has supplied speciality chemicals to the agricultural, food and drink, manufacturing and healthcare industries for more than 45 years.

Daniel added: “I am really looking forward to the challenges attached to the role of Commercial Director. As a modern thinking company it’s crucial that we continue our forward momentum in the marketplace and uncover new opportunities where we can expand our presence.

“There has always been a real sense of family at Airedale Chemical which I now feel part of and I’m 100% committed to helping my colleagues push the company forward toward a bright new future.”
