New Liverpool apartments intaking students for 2018 academic year

IconInc, a business venture branching out of Parklane Group is pleased to announce the completion of a new Liverpool student accommodation complex, The Ascent. The new 13 -storey build on Renshaw Street is nestled in Liverpool’s vibrant city centre and comprises 196 luxury apartments spread across 83,315 sqft. The emergent studio residences are now being reserved for the next academic term and students will be moving in on 1 July, 1 August and 1 September 2018 under a three-tier framework to suit a diverse student occupancy, as Managing Director, Naveen Ahmed of the Parklane Group details.

Every studio is unique, self-contained and beautifully constructed for luxury student living, supplemented with ultra-modern facilities, inspired by top-rated hotels. Our aim is to create a real community that students can move right into and feel at home. The building is equipped with an abundance of amenities to establish a safe, fun and community-centric atmosphere.”

Every opulent studio is complete with a king bed, large flat screen tv, desk, self-contained kitchen area and en-suite bathroom. Communal facilities are spread throughout the building, providing the ultimate space for students to relax and socialise. This includes a 24-hour concierge, mega kitchen and private dining room, cinema, study rooms, music room, and a gym sauna and steam room.

In early 2016, Parklane Group secured the site from Legacy Living and subsequently gained planning permission to action plans. The location of the build has impacted the overall design, architecturally-led by Fletcher-Rae as Co-Founder of the firm, Andrew Rae, outlines:


“The cityscape, skyline, and heritage of the site’s location were large considerations in designing this new luxury student accommodation scheme. The building inherited a strong geometric form from The Watson and Lewis’s Buildings nearby, as well as other significant factors such as height, massing, and the overall pallet of materials. It’s important for new central builds, like this, to acknowledge the surrounding context and aesthetically adapt.”

Contractors on the project include Walker Sime, Charles Andrews Limited, Coyle Kennedy, Omega Fire Engineering and Tolent Construction Ltd.
