Newcastle based Gas Angel has launched an innovative new website built around an online platform that allows customers to get a fixed price boiler quote in less than a minute.
Earlier this year, in response to homeowners’ growing frustration toward taking time off work to get an accurate boiler quote, engineering and marketing duo, David and Amy Mooney, joined forces with a vision to redesign the way home heating is purchased, starting with the north east.
Heating industry expert David Mooney set up Gas Angel in 2007 and commented, “Gas Angel has always welcomed homeowners and landlords seeking a domestic heating company with high safety and customer service standards”.
David continued, “We’ve been lucky to build a loyal following across the north east who return to us again and again. We don’t take this for granted and listen carefully to what our customers tell us, but this has changed drastically over recent years with customers now complaining that they never have enough time”.
Brand strategy specialist Amy, who sold an award-winning brand and digital communications agency at the end of 2018, recalls, “We spent the first few months of the year, digging in to a reoccurring customer complaint about waiting home for a heating engineer turn up. The main worries raised were around using up annual leave to stay home for a boiler quote, followed closely by cutting in to family time at the weekend, and feeling awkward discussing money with a stranger in their home”.
With their hunch now confirmed, husband and wife team, David and Amy set about, rebuilding Gas Angel from the ground up to meet the growing demands of their customer.
