Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA), the RIBA chartered family owned Architects, has secured listed building consent on behalf of client Pentecostal City Mission Church, which will see St Johns Pentecostal Church in Roundhay undergo significant repairs and improvements.
MWA will be responsible for overseeing vital repairs to both the interior and exterior of the Grade II listed building on Wetherby Road, which has been unused for a number of years.
Crucial repairs to the building’s external walls will commence in mid-February, ensuring the church is structurally sound and fully weathertight, repairing and preventing any further structural damage.
Interior improvements will also be made, including the fit out of a modern heating system and the installation of a state-of-the-art lighting system, creating an inviting and open space. A brand new-kitchenette, disabled accessible W.C and private meeting room will also transform the church into a multi-functional facility, which can be enjoyed by all in the local area.
