Synergi boosts turnover by 60 percent on the back of cloud wins

Digital transformation specialist Synergi is marking its sixth anniversary by boosting turnover by 60%, hitting the £3m turnover mark ahead of targets, and creating a raft of new jobs.

This year’s results come on the back of five years of 40% year-on-year growth for the Gateshead-based business, which is an award-winning technology partner specialising in advanced solutions using cloud technologies.

Its 32-strong team is focussed on helping organisations digitise working practices and migrate from traditional IT systems to more flexible and cost-effective cloud-based technologies that improve efficiency and productivity.

Founded in 2013 by technology specialists Peter Joynson and Justin Short, Synergi recently invested a six-figure sum in launching the North East’s first purpose-built Digital Business Den, an education hub for businesses looking to explore the future of digital business and its impact on their organisations.

“We’ve had a very strong year and exceeded our targets by a significant margin,” said CEO Peter Joynson.

“Having predicted we would hit just over £2.5million, to actually hit £3million is very gratifying and a testament to the hard work of everyone in the business.

“Our results are an indicator of the number of organisations looking to migrate from traditional legacy systems that no longer serve their purpose or fit with future plans, and who are keen to embrace the latest cloud technology tools that will shape the future of their organisations.”

Recently completed contracts include implementing Microsoft Business Central ERP solution for digital marketing agency Mediaworks, manufacturers Cottam Brush, and catering supplies specialist Crosbys. New wins in this product space also include London-based recruitment company Penta Consulting, and musculoskeletal services provider Connect Health.

The team has also won new contracts to install Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM across organisations including sustainable energy experts Engenera, logistics firm AV Dawson and traffic management firm Total Traffic Management.

“Our success is built on a very simple strategy,” added Peter.

“We help clients across all sectors to identify pain points and create cloud-based solutions to manage and even eliminate them.

“The growth of clients in our Dynamics Practice in the second half of this financial year was beyond expectation and is a welcome addition to our five-strand core focus of Teamwork, Automation, Dynamics 365, Business Intelligence, and Security.

“The depth and breadth of contract wins over the last year have cemented our plans to expand on our bases in the North East, London and Scotland, and launch in two new geographic territories.

“We are also adding to team numbers by creating yet more jobs as our 2020 recruitment programme gears up for launch.

“In our Automation and Dynamics Practices, we are working with local universities to introduce more graduates to the team. In our Operations team we are adding project managers and introducing new customer success coordinators, whilst also looking for a talented marketing and event coordinator to work alongside our Comms team.

“The future is exciting, with factors such as artificial intelligence and machine learning set to revolutionise the way we work and live. We are looking forward to playing our part in making sure businesses take every advantage on offer.”
