Taylor&Emmet expert STEPs up inheritance advice

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is strengthening its team of specialists who offer advice to local families about inheritance and succession planning.

Natalie Sheldon, from the firm’s Eccelsall Road office, has become the fifth Taylor&Emmet probate expert to achieve membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

The internationally recognised qualification enables Natalie to help clients decide how best to structure their finances to protect assets and benefit future generations. It has expanded her knowledge to include issues such as trusts, tax and philanthropic giving.

Natalie joined Taylor&Emmet’s probate team almost two years ago, having qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and the firm has provided support throughout her STEP training. She joins existing members of the organisation, Ben Brown and Simon Eyre-Wood, who are based at its city centre headquarters, plus Nichola Barnes and Hannah Montague, from the Dronfield and Bakewell offices respectively.

Channah Patton, Taylor&Emmet’s wills and probate partner at Ecclesall Road, said: “We would like to congratulate Natalie on achieving her STEP qualification and adding another string to her bow. She is very capable and has worked extremely hard to broaden her knowledge base to encompass trusts and estates. This will enable clients to access specialist inheritance advice at every one of our offices.”
