Urban Beach Styled Café on the Menu for New Owners

Charlotte in front of Lotte on the Edge

A Mediterranean inspired café with a Mexican twist is seeking new ownership with its current owner looking to move abroad.

Lotte on the Edge, a Sheffield based café, run by Charlotte Carey, is on the market with Hilton Smythe Business Advisers, a national firm that assists with the buying and selling of businesses.

Since opening five years ago, Lotte on the Edge has become more and more popular by the day with its exotic menu constantly evolving. Whilst the café classics remain, the shop most recently added a Mexican chicken spiced club sandwich to its menu, receiving a five-star review on the day it was released.

The well-respected café boasts a large outdoor area and has the ability to host a variety of events, ranging from birthday parties to stag and hen nights.

Charlotte Carey, owner of the café said: “I have loved owning my own café for five years and meeting so many great members of the local community.

“The challenges that we faced during lockdown in 2020, highlighted the significance of owning a café in the local area.

“Fortunately, I was able to provide other services through selling fruit and veg to loyal customers, which resulted in queues of people lining up along the street.

“I’m very grateful for Hilton Smythe in helping me sell the café, especially Paul Barlow who has been very responsive and has provided lots of help with the accounts.”

Craig Graham, operations director at Hilton Smythe said: “Charlotte has done an amazing job in establishing her café as Sheffield’s number one urban beach style coffee shop.

“We believe that the café would be an attractive proposition for an individual or couple who are enthusiastic about cooking and baking and are willing to make a positive impact in the local community.

The business holds an alcohol license and is proud of its five-star hygiene rating.
