The popular England Forward, who has been on loan to Everton for the previous season, delivers an inspiring poem, recognising how sport unites people in Manchester, both on and off the pitch.

Written by Mancunian poet, David Scott, more commonly known as ARGH! Kid, the poem was created for Printworks and highlights how the people of Manchester “become one” when they watch sport together, transcending race, gender, and sexuality.

The collaboration celebrates the upcoming calendar of exciting sporting events being shown at Printworks’ sports bars and venues, including The Ashes, Formula One, Boxing and FIFA Women’s World Cup, which takes place in Australia this month. Printworks will be welcoming World Cup supporters of all teams from July 20th, with morning matches being available to watch live at Walkabout, Yates, Bierkeller and Hard Rock Café and additional matches being shown at Boom Battle Bar and O’Neill’s.

Jason Shay, Manchester Printworks said, “Watching sport is one thing that truly unites people, and this is something we want to celebrate at Printworks. We’re thrilled to have Jess involved in this campaign and this bespoke poem really showcases what Printworks and the sporting community is all about. This summer, there’ll be plenty of matches and a wide variety of sport available to enjoy at our fantastic venues around the complex, as well as exciting food and drink offerings for families and friends to sit and dine whilst cheering on their favourite teams.”

With four resident sports bars showing a variety of sports fixtures across big screens and additional venues also getting in on the action, there’s a place for every sports fan this summer at Manchester Printworks:

Housing HD TV’s, large projector screens and LED screens, Bierkeller has an atmosphere as vibrant as any sporting ground. Boasting an exclusive Game Day Package, fans can enjoy a private table whilst enjoying everything from pitchers of beer to buckets of wings, while Executive Boxes are also available, where you can relax at a reserved table in front of a giant screen with two drinks from an extensive menu of beers, wines, and spirits.

Walkabout will be showing all fixtures live across giant HD TV screens this summer whilst serving a delicious range of burgers, perfect to tuck into whilst enjoying a game. If you’d like to share a couple of dishes with friends, don’t forget to try the loaded chips, foot-long onion rings or topped nachos.

With BT Sport and Sky Sports Access, visitors can watch all televised matches with O’Neill’s, including rugby, football, darts, formula one, cricket, boxing and more. Serving tasty food including hot chicken bites and dirty fries and offering a delicious Mix & Match Tapas deal, sports fans can eat whilst enjoying a day of live sport and even pre-order their beers before they arrive!

Split over two floors, Yates will be showcasing all summer sporting action across 15 flat screen TVs, teamed with amazing drink and food offers. From small plates to foot-long nachos, there’s something for everyone to tuck into.

Dedicated and casual supporters alike are welcome at Boom Battle Bar and Hard Rock Café where you can catch live sports fixtures including football and the Superbowl, while Big Screen Sports are also available with Vue Cinema. From all-access documentaries starring the world’s most famous athletes to ringside views of boxing championships, visitors can enjoy their favourite sports in the comfort of a luxury recliner along with some delicious snacks and drinks.
