Whitley Bay gets all hot and spicy

Mexican ‘Dia de los Muertos’ - Day of the Dead

The launch of a new seaside restaurant turned out to be a rather hot and spicy occasion.

And despite the Mexican ‘Dia de los Muertos’ – Day of the Dead – theme, the party at Loca in South Parade, Whitley Bay, turned out to be a lively affair.

Adjacent to the fully refurbished and renamed 32 bedroomed boutique Hotel 52, Loca is offering a menu which is sure to add spice to life in the town.

Fast growing North East property business, All Saints Living, is behind the venture and Hotel and Restaurant Manager, Steve Walsh, said:

“The venue and the food were well received by the guests who thoroughly enjoyed the colourful Latino entertainment. I think people will really appreciate the chance to enjoy something which is not really available in the area right now.”

The hotel and restaurant are among the latest attractions to be added to Whitley Bay’s appeal. Around £80 million of investment in recent years is, once again, making it an attractive visitor destination.”

All Saints Living – which is one of the High Street Group of companies – is developing another Hotel 52 in Stanley, on the site of the former Stanfield House residential home. This is expected to serve visitors to Beamish Museum and Tanfield Railway as well as C2C cyclists.

With its headquarters in Cuthbert House, Newcastle, The High Street Group was established by successful entrepreneur Gary Forrest in 2004. It has grown to become a leading financial and property group employing over 50 people in activities including property development, developer finance and financial claims.
