Yorkshire retailer launches initiative to support emergency services workers

A Yorkshire-based bathroom retailer is launching a new initiative for giving back to local emergency workers — that’s anyone who works in the NHS, military, fire or police services.

Easy Bathrooms, which has eight stores across Yorkshire, says it wants to “thank frontline emergency staff for all that they do”.

The initiative offers a 40 percent discount on all their bathroom and tile products. The savings can be claimed by showing an emergency services ID card in-store or uploading a copy to the retailer’s website.

Easy Bathrooms’ founder and Huddersfield business man, Craig Waddington, said: “I know I speak for everyone at Easy Bathrooms when I say that we have the hugest respect and admiration for people who work around the clock to look after the British public.

“Most people will agree that these professions are the most deserving of our thanks, so we are delighted to offer a 40 percent discount on everything they buy at Easy Bathrooms, starting today (8th May 2018) and running indefinitely.”

This discount has been introduced as part of a national initiative titled ‘Easy Giving’, across Easy Bathrooms’ 21 stores.

Craig added: “It’s an exciting time for us as we expand throughout the UK, but we also believe that as we grow, it’s important to keep giving back at the DNA of what we do. Everyone deserves a bathroom where they can relax, but nobody more than those who deal with tough situations on a daily basis.

“That’s why I’m proud that each and every one of our stores is offering this discount. It’s part of a wider scheme for supporting the areas in which we have showrooms, and we’ll continue striving to help as many charities and local causes as possible.”

The firm is also kit sponsor for Huddersfield Giants’ first team, as well as the club’s under 19s women’s team, which sees their logo adorn the chest of the famous claret and gold shirts.
