A leading Yorkshire law firm has opened a new office in York bringing its total number of premises in the region to thirteen.
The opening of Ison Harrison’s York office on Micklegate on 29th October marks a continued period of expansion for the firm following the opening of Otley in Leeds earlier this year and Pudsey and Huddersfield in 2017.
Ison Harrison had an office on Bishopthorpe Road during the 1990s and the firm is looking forward to returning to North Yorkshire further expanding its regional branch network.
The office is headed up by Chris Brierley, an experienced property solicitor with over 10 years’ experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing. Chris recently joined Ison Harrison having moved to the region to join the firm’s residential property team. With expertise spanning several areas of law, Chris now specialises in residential property offering clients comprehensive technical knowledge and experience.
Centrally located at 37a Micklegate, the new 2089 sq ft York office builds on Ison Harrison’s reputation for making legal services easily accessible to local people.
Joining Chris is experienced commercial property solicitor, Richard Scott. Richard specialises in all aspects of commercial property work but his expertise also extends to development work and agricultural property.
He qualified in 1999 and joined Ison Harrison in 2018, having previously worked at a large regional firm and prior to that as a partner in a provincial practice in North Yorkshire.
Chris and Richard’s combined property experience ensures the York branch possesses a very strong focus on residential and commercial conveyancing along with a dedicated new build specialist team, the first of its kind in Ison Harrison’s regional network property service offering.
The York team is further enhanced by Olivia Williams, a trainee solicitor in the new build property team. Olivia joined the new build team in August 2016 and successfully assists clients throughout the whole conveyancing transaction process.
