Duo promoted at Grosvenor Manor in Chester

New Care’s Grosvenor Manor Care Centre has recognised two of its most experienced and long-serving team members with promotions.

Carer Darren Molyneux and nurse Maria Zolotnikova have been promoted to deputy home manager and clinical lead respectively at the popular care home, located on Heath Lane just a short walk from the centre of Chester.

Each with more than 17 years’ experience in health and social care, Darren and Maria will work to support home manager Anne Hughes to maintain Grosvenor Manor’s exceptional reputation and deliver outstanding care to all residents.

In his role as deputy manager, Darren’s responsibilities will include the smooth day-to-day running of the home as well as providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to the wider team.

Maria will support Darren by taking responsibility for the clinical aspects of the home, ensuring each resident receives timely person-centred quality care that meets their individual needs and that the home complies with all relevant medical legislation.

Both are popular members of the team at Grosvenor Manor and have worked at the care home for more than five years.

Manager Anne Hughes commented: “We are delighted to recognise Darren and Maria with promotions. Both are invaluable assets to the team here at Grosvenor Manor, highly experienced, they work with passion and enthusiasm to deliver a wonderful quality of care and are well loved by all of our residents. I’m pleased to have them working alongside me to further enhance and develop Grosvenor Manor’s great local reputation.”

Driven by excellence, Darren is truly passionate about elderly care and held many senior care-related roles in elderly environments before joining New Care. Age 35, he was born in Wrexham in North Wales where he still lives with his partner and their French bulldog Hugo. He holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care which he passed with distinction.

Darren said: “New Care is a company that is dedicated to delivering quality care, and this really resonates with me. I would love to support Anne and guide the team to us achieving an Outstanding CQC rating at our next inspection, this would be an incredible achievement for us all.”

Originally from Estonia, Maria is equally as passionate about quality care. She qualified as a general nurse in 2007 and then went on to complete her Degree in Intensive Care Nursing. Aged 39, she now lives in Chester with her partner and three children.

“New Care is a company where everyone is working together towards quality and service, with our residents’ best interests at heart,” she said, “I’m so grateful for the commitment to my career and excited to take on this enhanced role at Grosvenor Manor.”
