A Kent-based crane services company is the latest to adopt CoreRFID’s CheckedOK inspection software.
Total Crane Services says the system will save time for engineers by removing paperwork, enabling them to take on more work and improve productivity.
Based in Sittingbourne, the company serves major clients including Cory Riverside Energy, Biffa, National Grid, FCC Environment, Arcelor Mittal, Southern Water, Tarmac and offers inspections, maintenance and repairs, as well as providing new equipment and spares. Established in 2002 by David Luther, it now employs ten staff.
David says: “In a small team like ours, it is important to make best use of everyone’s time. The current paper-based system places an additional burden on engineers. The new system will free up their time, enabling us to grow the business with the existing team. It will also reduce office time and help us comply with legal requirements such as LOLER. Overall, it is a more up-to-date way to run our operations and it will pay for itself over time.”
CheckedOK eliminates paperwork by enabling engineers to record data on site, enabling reports to be produced automatically and made available to clients as soon as the job is complete. It also maintains a comprehensive history of each asset, and the system can be extended to include features such as invoicing and quotations.
