The R3 North West New Professionals Group, which organises networking events for insolvency and restructuring professionals in the early stages of their career, has appointed Amy Lowden-Brown as its new chair.

Amy, who takes over from the previous chair Nicola McAvoy, has seven years’ experience in the profession. Having worked in both London and the North West, she is now Assistant Manager at the insolvency and restructuring firm, Lucas Johnson Limited based in Altrincham.

She has been an active member of the R3 New Professionals committee for over a year and most recently organised its sell-out winter ball at the Menagerie, Manchester in November 2018.

Amy said of her new role: “I am looking forward to the challenge and to engaging more new professionals at our events across the North West.”

Paul Barber, North West Chair of R3, the insolvency and restructuring trade body, and also a partner at Begbies Traynor in Manchester, said: “Insolvency and related professions employ thousands of people in the North West. The New Professionals Group provides a vibrant social scene to help those coming into the profession to build their contacts book and further their career.”
