Housebuilder Ashberry Homes has made an egg-stra special delivery to Westhoughton Community Assist Service.

With its Lilibet Gardens development located close to the service hub in the John Holt Community Centre on Birch Avenue, the sales team and new homeowners at the beautiful residential development on The Fairways were keen to support the charity and have collaborated to collect more than 40 Easter eggs worth £200.

The eggs will be used by Westhoughton Community Assist Service to ensure no child in the town is without a delicious chocolate treat to enjoy on Easter Sunday.

Established to tackle social disadvantage, Westhoughton Community Assist Service works to alleviate food poverty by supporting those in financial difficulty in the local community. In addition to offering help and support, the team provides a food bank, social supermarket, household goods and clothing.

It is run entirely on a voluntary and charitable basis and relies upon the support of businesses and individuals within Westhoughton to achieve its overarching aim that no-one should go hungry.

Volunteer Lesley Monks was delighted to visit the sales office and showhomes at Lilibet Gardens to collect the eggs from sales advisor Karen Wells. She said: “We are extremely grateful to the Ashberry Homes team and new residents at Lilibet Gardens for collecting these eggs and will ensure they are distributed to 6those in need across our operating area before Easter weekend.

“Without the support and generosity of Ashberry Homes and others within our local community, there would be a large number of children and families going without Easter eggs. All contributions are greatly appreciated and make a huge difference.”

Sales Director at Ashberry Homes, Grace Yarlett, said: “When we saw Westhoughton Community Assist’s appeal for eggs we immediately wanted to help and started to collect as many eggs as we could. It’s great to have so many to donate and feel that they will go some way to making a difference in the local community.”

Located on The Fairways, Lilibet Gardens is a beautiful new residential development of high quality new build homes close to the historic centre of Westhoughton. A range of three and four bedroom homes are available with prices starting from £309,995 for a three bedroom Daisy house type and from £389,995 for a four bedroom Jasmine. There are two stunning show homes to view, the four bedroom Jasmine and four bedroom Aurora.
