Bellway makes £300 donation to Derian House

Housebuilder Bellway has made a £300 donation to children’s hospice Derian House.

With its Euxton Heights development located on Euxton Lane opposite the hospice in Chorley, the housebuilder has witnessed the vital role the service delivers for families across the North West and wanted to help.

Bellway’s donation will go towards the ongoing daily running costs of the hospice, a service that costs more than £6million annually but receives less than 30 per cent of the funding that it needs from the Government and relies upon the generosity of the local community and donations from businesses for the rest.

Derian House provides high quality respite and end-of-life care to children and families across the North West helping those whose lives are too short make happy memories in an environment full of fun, respect and love.

Working tirelessly around the clock, the team delivers respite care, day care, holiday care and end-of-life care to more than 400 babies, children and young people and their families every year.

Community fundraiser Ellie Smith visited the sales office at Euxton Heights to receive the donation from sales advisor Josh. She said: “We are so grateful to Bellway for this kind contribution and will ensure it is put to good use continuing the vital daily work of the hospice locally in Chorley. We really do rely on these kinds of donations from individuals and businesses and every single one is used to help a family or child in need.”

Sales Director at Bellway, Grace Yarlett, added: “Derian House is an amazing organisation and one that we are proud to support. Delivering an invaluable service, it has touched the lives of so many people across the North West so when we started work on Euxton Heights just over the road we knew that we had to get involved.”
