Belmayne Extends Support of Teen Football Stars

Belmayne sponsored Dronfield Town Under 16s with their league winners' cup.

Dronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, are continuing to back a top of the league youth football team, reinforcing their commitment to the local community.

The independent Derbyshire firm is looking forward to a third term as sponsors of Dronfield Town Under 16s, after their current run of form saw them lose just three games last season.

Dronfield Town Under 16s won the Sheffield and District Junior League in the final game of the season, with a convincing 4-1 defeat over the third-place team. Their home matches are played at the town’s Gosforth Fields, where they remained unbeaten all season.

Belmayne partner, Martin Birch, said: “We want to congratulate the Dronfield Town boys on a fantastic league win and we applaud the dedication they have shown throughout the season. Grassroots football is an integral part of any local community and plays a significant role in shaping the outlook of the youngsters who participate. We recognise support from businesses is essential to the survival of sport at this level and we’re happy to continue our association with such a stellar team for another season.”

Dronfield Town FC comprises 35 junior and adult football teams and more than 400 footballers from the local area, competing in ten different leagues. The club is run by volunteers and relies heavily on corporate funding.

Steve Fisher, the manager of Dronfield Town’s Under 16s, added: “Our season was the complete opposite of the previous one, which was impacted heavily by Covid and injuries. The squad dominated from start to finish and the standard of football was incredible to watch. On behalf of everyone involved, I would like to extend our huge thanks to Belmayne and all the companies that support the team each year.”
