Lonsdale Services is among four national financial planning companies selected for the Outstanding Customer Care Award at the Retirement Planner Awards, 2017. The winner will be announced on the 16th June at The Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, Piccadilly, London.
Deb Nolan, Lonsdale Services, independent financial adviser based at our Tong, Bradford office submitted the case study for the award. Deb Nolan was aware of how the tax-free cash pension legislation changed in 2006 so she advised a member of a money purchase occupational pension scheme that they could be due a financial entitlement in the form of scheme-specific tax-free cash protection. She explored this with the relevant pension provider, and the client was entitled to a significant tax free lump sum which saved them higher rate tax payments.
The Retirement Planner Awards are in their fourth year and according to The Professional Adviser website the awards aim to: ‘celebrate and promote excellence in the world of retirement planning – offering well-deserved recognition to intermediaries and providers who are at the forefront of dynamic and fresh ways to offer retirement planning and pensions advice services.’
Simon Hawker, Managing Director of Lonsdale Services and independent financial adviser in St Albans said: ‘In an industry which still has too few female financial advisers Deb Nolan our independent financial advisor in Bradford really stands out. Deb set up our Leeds / Bradford office in 2013 and has successfully grown our financial advice business in Yorkshire through client referrals. Deb specialises in all types of retirement planning and pension advice. The feedback we receive from Deb’s clients show just how much they value her independent financial advice. Given how hard Deb works for all her clients it is no surprise that she is representing us as a finalist for this Outstanding Customer Care award. At Lonsdale Services we operate a client charter that details how all our financial consultants are committed to offering our clients the best possible independent financial advice and client service.’
Deb Nolan, independent financial adviser, Bradford said: ‘I really enjoy my job as I like helping clients dissect the minefield of complicated financial planning information so they understand what financial advice they need and why. It is great to be nominated as a finalist in the Retirement Planner Awards, but this case study is just one example of the type of work I always do for my clients. We work together to create a financial plan and I help my clients achieve their financial goals and objectives.’
