Brand new look for North East telecoms specialist

The company responsible for selling the first mobile phone handset in the North East is hoping to connect with more customers after launching a nice new brand.

CCS, a Sunderland based unified communications business that provides telecommunications and IT services to customers including Nike UK, Puma, Newcastle United, Esh Group and Russell Hobbs, has rebranded and will now be known as Nice Network.

The business, which has ambitions to double its headcount by 2020, has been trading for 32 years, but decided that the time was right to change its name, to better reflect its customer service ethos.

Led by head of sales, Geoff Burns and head of marketing, Nikki Lee, it is hoped that the rebrand will mark the start of an exciting chapter of growth for the 26-staff strong business, that will see it streamline services for customers, ensuring that every client – new and old – gets the ‘nice experience’ the company has become renowned for.

Geoff, who joined the firm earlier this year, said: “The Nice Network is a business with a very clear plan – we’re in growth mode and we wanted to do something with the brand that would send a message to our customers and competitors – we are ambitious, we are bold and we are, well, nice to do business with.

“We’ve seen year on year growth since the company was set up, which is hugely impressive, and this new brand will really elevate the business and help us show clients what we are about – a business that cares about its clients and goes above and beyond to deliver excellent service.”

Nice Network worked with Sunderland based Eunoia and Partners to deliver the rebrand programme. Headed up by US born George Belias, who has a track record of delivering brand projects for clients like Nike, Illy Coffee and Citroen, the company brought in an internationally-based design and creative network to develop the new brand,.

George, who founded Eunoia and Partners with his brother Constantine, said: “We are working with a large number of clients – some with a strong exciting brand who simply want to push things to the next level with their creative, and others who are looking to really mix things up and embark on a rebrand.

“The fantastic thing about working with Nice Network was that the team were not just willing, but keen, to do something really different. To do something bold.

“And the new look and feel really does capture not only the business they already are, but the business they want to be in the future too.”

The process of rebranding has taken around 12-weeks and Eunoia and Partners will continue to work with Nice Network to support them to improve their whole customer journey and experience, ensuring their brand flows through the company.

Nikki said: “Working with George really gave us the confidence to be brave and to be a bit different with the new name and the look and feel of our marketing materials.

“When we spoke to our customers about what they like about us, again and again, they talked about us being ‘nice’ – a nice business to work with, a nice team… and actually, that’s great. We deliver a service that’s important to businesses, but to be able to make customers refer to the company with such affection does tell you that we do something much more than just the basics.

“The new brand represents what we are doing anyway, but it also represents a commitment to maintaining that standard in the future, to being that nice team that people want to work with in the long term.”
