Business blooms as I Want Plants expands beyond North West

I Want Plants, Manchester’s leading horticultural display specialists for the bar and restaurant sector, are expanding their reach after securing new clients in Bristol, Oxford and Liverpool.

Work has just been completed on The Florist, on Hardman Street in Liverpool, which was recently dubbed the UK’s most beautiful restaurant thanks to its stunning floral installations. I Want Plants recently completed the company’s Bristol outlet too.

At the Liverpool bar, I Want Plants created two four-metre tall blossom trees, each complete with a 16 square metre canopy to envelop drinkers and diners in the Grade II-building.

The pink theme continues with two flower walls, stunning hanging flower frames and a cascade of draping roses throughout the staircase.

The look was completed with salvaged troughs filled with replica flowers and a window display of more than 20 birdcages packed with a variety of blooms.

The team didn’t have to venture too far from their Hale-base, after winning the brief to provide masses of violet wisteria on real vine stems to local restaurant Victors.

At the restaurant’s newly-opened Oxford eatery I Want Plants created an Instagram-worthy flower wall, floral archways and continued Victors’ trademark wisteria theme with vintage bicycles complete with baskets overflowing with the distinctive plant.

The whole look was finished with warm white lights and handmade stone white urns containing multi-stem trees, ferns and grasses.

Richard Rowlands, Managing Director of I Want Plants, said: “We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with our horticultural installations and with The Florist and Victors we are fortunate to be working with designers who recognise our desire to be challenged.

“The result is three absolutely stunning bars and restaurants.”

I Want Plants are no stranger to the hospitality industry with Gusto, The Alchemist and The Botanist among other clients. The firm also looks after corporate clients with rental office plants.

Their sister firm, I Want Trees, is aimed at the commercial and high-end residential market offering instant gardens, mature fully-grown trees, and privacy hedges.

Both businesses are run by Richard and his family from the firm’s headquarters on the Cheshire/Manchester border.
