Cedar Retreats Celebrates Top Rating from Hoseasons

A luxury lodge development based in North Yorkshire is celebrating after it achieved an independent rating of more than 9.4 out of 10 from satisfied customers booking through Hoseasons, making it one of the highest scoring sites in the country.

Cedar Retreats, the exclusive rural development with planning for 37 luxury lodges in West Tanfield, has been rated based on its location and surroundings, helpfulness of staff, value for money and overall holiday experience resulting in an overall score of 9.4.

James Gawthorpe, Managing Director of Cedar Retreats, comments: “We are extremely pleased to have achieved such a high rating from guests that book a short break through Hoseasons. The fact that Cedar Retreats is one of the company’s best rated high-end lodge holidays in the UK makes this achievement even more significant for us.”

Senior Brand Manager at Hoseaons, Dan Cook, explains why Cedar Retreats is one of the holiday company’s top-rated lodge properties. He said: “It is very rare for a holiday provider to accomplish a score of 9 or above. We have only a handful of lodges listed that achieve this rating and perform exceptionally well. The positive feedback we receive from guests that choose to stay at Cedar Retreats is a real showcase of the commitment of everyone involved at the business.

“Ratings are common place and are often a rationale for a customer choosing one location over another. As an independent measure, it’s certainly a way that we can support the decision making process so that we can offer the very best breaks for those who choose to book through us. Cedar Retreats consistently performs well and I’m sure they will be very pleased with the scores they secure.”

With the ongoing popularity of the staycation due to the rising costs of holidays abroad, Cedar Retreats has attracted guests wanting a quality UK break, as well as investors looking for increasingly inventive ways to supplement their income.

The retreats provide property owners with the chance to purchase a high-end luxury lodge, which can be enjoyed as a holiday home and then rented out to the public for the remainder of the year, earning them a possible return of 9.1% per year.

James continues: “We have seen the positive feedback from guests transfer to the sales side of the business with us recently reporting our best year to date in terms of property sales. Our customers are really impressed by the standard of the lodges and even more by the return that can be achieved.”

Benefiting from two very distinct customer types; those who want to become owner occupiers, giving them the work life balance they crave and buy to rent, Cedar Retreats believes that the company will experience further growth over the next 12 months with the high-end lodge trend showing no sign of slowing down.

James concludes: “The continued uncertainty surrounding the UK’s exit from the EU and the drop in the pound has contributed to an increase in demand for quality breaks much closer to home. People want to ensure that they are getting value for money, without having to compromise on a well-earned break. The benefit to us and our owners is that as a result we are busy all year round.”

The retreat, which surrounds a breath-taking lake and is based just outside of the picturesque village of West Tanfield, roughly six-miles from Ripon and just a short drive from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is increasingly popular with those that work in neighbouring cities, as well as those living in the South of the country.
