Fast Growing Engineering Firm Adds New Staff

Yorkshire sub-contract engineering company PCT has made a key appointment as it looks to further expand its diverse client base.

James Draper joins the £6m turnover business as Sub-Contract Sales Executive.

PCT is enjoying a period of growth, driven by regional orders from a range of sectors including leisure, manufacturing and automotive.

It recently introduced double shifts to cope with demand and earlier this year doubled the size of the tow-bar fitting operation at its Sheffield base. In February, it invested more than £550,000 in new machinery following a funding award by Sheffield City Region.

The investment at PCT comes as both the sub-contract and tow-bar manufacturing sides to the 90-year-old business continue to flourish.

“We are investing in the very best people to drive PCT’s growth and James has excellent experience in the steel-stockholding and construction sectors,” said Managing Director James Harding-Terry.

“Growth is being underpinned by regional sales and we are confident that this growth will continue throughout the year.”

PCT has also appointed a laser operator to manage its new state-of-the-art fibre laser and further jobs are being created as the company scales up output. A total of 10 jobs are expected to be created in 2017.
