A Leeds-based entrepreneur in the corporate events and drinks sector, will speak to an audience of business professionals at an event organised by Business and IP Centre Leeds at the city’s Central Library on 15th June 2017.

Founder and managing director of Zest Mixology, Murdo MacLeod will provide an insightful presentation to fellow start-ups, discussing his business journey to date.

The ‘Brilliant Brands’ event, which will take place between 6pm and 8.30pm, will also host a live web-screening of other inspiring entrepreneurs from the British Library in London. Ryan Kohn, co-founder of Propercorn, Logan Plant, founder of Beavertown Brewery, Anjum Anand, founder of The Spice Tailor and Gem Misa, co-founder of Cauli Rice will share their stories behind their food and drinks brands.

Formed in 2011, Zest Mixology is the leading supplier of pop-up cocktail services for the corporate events sector in the UK. With a head office in Leeds and a warehouse operation in London, the business was formed with a vision to become the ‘go to’ supplier for pop-up cocktail bar services for business events throughout the UK & Europe.


Having experienced double digit growth year-on-year since its inception, Zest Mixology has served over one million event guests to date and supplied to over 3000 corporate events for big names such as Nokia, BMW, EE, Lloyds TSB, First Direct, Barclays and others. The firm also recently landed a supplier contract with Amadeus, the official contract caterers for the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

The event will also allow the opportunity for attendees to take part in a Q & A with the entrepreneurs and gain some top business tips.

The event follows other recent news for Zest Mixology, who recently secured a scale-up loan of £80,000, granted by HSBC to support the company’s growth and expansion to the South.
