Simon Lamkin, Chief Technology Officer at leading multi-platform technology company FOD Mobility Group, has been recognised by CIO Magazine in this year’s CIO 100 awards.
The awards ceremony was held at the five-star St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London on 22nd September. The event recognised the best and brightest CIOs and technology leaders in the UK, celebrating their digital transformation achievements, and reflecting on themes and ideas included in their submissions.
Simon demonstrated to the judges the positive impact his initiatives have had on the company’s transformation over the last 12 months. This includes leading cloud adoption, agile software development, and the internationalisation of the company’s platforms to accommodate its expansion into Europe this year. The steps taken to adapt to new trends in recruitment and retention with hybrid working were also a key focus of the submission.
The panel of judges reviewed CIO 100 submissions from leading CIOs, CTOs and senior IT executives across a broad range of companies and industries, with a focus on CIOs who have exemplified organisational impact, operational efficiency and technological innovation.
The panel included former CIOs, NEDs, and advisors to start-ups, boards and C-suite executives, such as Nick Mcquire (Director of Enterprise and Innovation at Microsoft), Christine Ashton (CIO at SUSE), Adizah Tejani (Portfolio Lead at HSBC Adventures), and CIO UK’s Editor, Doug Drinkwater.
Simon commented on his award: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be recognised amongst such esteemed peers in this year’s CIO 100. This recognition is testament to the whole FOD technology team that, month after month, go out of their way to create world class products for our customers and continue to innovate to make our new products even better.”
Simon joined FOD’s executive board in March 2021 with responsibility for the strategic development of the company’s marketing-leading technology platforms. These include global business vehicle hire and ground transportation platform Fleetondemand, Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform Mobilleo, and the Movezero platform which combines MaaS with electric vehicle adoption (eMaaS).
