George’s Great British Kitchen is opening its doors at The Light in Leeds with a mission to create proper British dishes with a unique twist!

Taking a distinctive twist on traditional and newly-found English classics, George’s Great British Kitchen’s signature dishes include traditional fish and chips, charcoal grilled meats and fish, and delicious burger options, including their stacked fish burger and dirty double burger! For the people with a sweet tooth their famous dessert sharer is a must! Sweet shop inspired ice cream, candyfloss and doughnuts with chocolate or raspberry dipping sauces!

George’s Great British Kitchen also offers only premium fillets of fish and cuts of meat, most of which are sourced from the British Isles and seas. The new restaurant will also house a gin bar with 10 premium gins and its own range of over 13 gin-based cocktails – called Mo’gin’tos.

Due to open in May 2017, the restaurant is looking to recruit for over 60 jobs, including chef, kitchen management and front of house roles.

George’s Great British Kitchen first opened its doors in 2015 to rave reviews, picking up a Best New Venue award at the Nottingham Post Food & Drink Awards the same year. A year later, it won Best City Centre Experience at the same ceremony. It also opened a restaurant in Newcastle in 2016
