Get Ahead VA expands into Yorkshire by opening new franchise in Leeds

National business support agency Get Ahead VA is delighted to be extending its reach into Yorkshire by welcoming a new franchisee – Fiona Ibbetson of Get Ahead VA Leeds.

Following a career spanning two decades at grocery giant Morrisons, Fiona felt she was ready for a new challenge. Fiona says: “I loved the fast pace of grocery and the constant challenges. But the most rewarding part for me was always managing people. Working together to get the best out of people and deliver exceptional results for customers is hugely rewarding. But I have always wanted to run my own business. Last year presented the right time to make that dream come true. After researching lots of different options, I met Rebecca Newenham of Get Ahead VA. I discovered that what she has to offer and her team is the perfect match for me.”

Fiona will be managing Get Ahead VA in Leeds and is looking forward to growing the brand in her local area through networking. Fiona says “I am passionate about the business and marketing services we can provide to local businesses in Leeds & Wakefield. I love networking and helping others to achieve results and meet their objectives. I also enjoy listening to clients’ needs and matching them to one of my team of virtual assistants. This enables clients to do what they do best, focus on growing their businesses. It’s a win-win situation all round.”

Rebecca Newenham, founder and director of Get Ahead VA comments: “Our franchise model provides people like Fiona with the opportunity to go into business for themselves, but not by themselves. In Fiona’s case, she had always wanted to run her own business, but she wanted support at the same time.

As a Get Ahead VA franchisee, she is part of something bigger, yet still a business owner in her own right. She has the security of being part of an established award-winning and profitable brand, with the tools to hit the ground running and the opportunity to build a business that works for her. I am looking forward to supporting her on her journey and watching her team develop over the coming months.”
