Growing law firm celebrates its most successful year to date

Carl Newton, Managing Partner.

Altrincham law firm Myerson achieved a 15% business growth and increased its revenue to £8.17m for its financial year ended 31 August 2018. Since its year end, growth has further accelerated and the firm expects its revenue for its current year to exceed £10m.

Myerson now has 100 employees and will be undertaking further refurbishment to its offices in the first part of the year so up to 140 staff can be accommodated as the firm grows.

Over the last 6 months Myerson has welcomed a breadth of highly experienced individuals including key recruits, Neil Armstrong Partner and Head of their Construction Department, Financial Director Karl Mannering and Seán Hackett (Property Litigator) and Suzanne Carr (Commercial Litigation) from Pannone Corporate.

Carl Newton, Managing Partner said: “recruitment of 25 highly skilled team members, being named ‘2018 Medium Law Firm of the Year’ at the Manchester Legal Awards and recognised as one of The Times 200 ‘Best Law Firms’ whilst achieving 15% growth this year. It is fair to say we have had a great 2018 at Myerson”.

“With our new office, came new areas of specialism: construction, data protection & compliance, private capital, property litigation as well as doubling the size of our marketing department. The move has given the firm a real diverse offering for our clients, in line with our growth strategy”.

Despite the goings on in Westminster, clients of the firm are busy. The Corporate Department is currently working on transactions with a value of over £100m and its Commercial Property Department is engaged in matters worth over £250m.
