Huddersfield-based marketing and PR agency KC Communications have announced plans to support a start-up business based in Huddersfield with a 12-month pro bono marketing and PR support package in a bid to aid local business growth and contribute to the town’s economy.

The marketing package, worth up to £15,000, will support the start-up to develop a 12-month marketing strategy encompassing PR and social media along with a range other marketing activities which KC Communications will assist in implementing. The successful applicant will also benefit from access to desk space within the agency’s offices and use of their meeting room, plus the opportunity to use the KC Communications 3M BIC membership to hotdesk at the facility.

Eligible businesses must have been in business for less than three years and have a turnover of less than £250,000 per annum. The business must also have clearly outlined business goals with a clear business plan. KC Communications will only be accepting applications from businesses with a HD postcode.

KC Communications founder Katrina Cliffe commented “We’ve long been passionate about supporting our local business community and playing a core part in its growth. As such, we’re excited to provide the opportunity to support a local start-up in achieving their growth plans. Through personal experience we have found that there is not a lot of assistance and support for start-ups in Huddersfield, which leads a lot of start-ups looking to cities such as Leeds and Manchester. We believe that businesses that start in Huddersfield should have the opportunity to remain in Huddersfield and we hope that through providing this support we can give back to the town that has helped us grow over the last few years.”

Further information and application forms are available on the KC Communications website or alternatively contact KC Communications on 01484 637 980. Deadlines close on 14th February with a winner announced on 4th March. Applications should be submitted by 5pm on this date.
