One of the UK’s leading home builders, Keepmoat Homes is celebrating the first anniversary of its Greater Manchester division.

The regional office which was launched in April 2018 following the growth of a single North West region has experienced a phenomenal year creating 366 new homes.

Based out of its office in Wigan, the region now employs 90 members of staff and following a successful first year has ambitious plans for the future, with the aim of delivering 2,000 new homes over the next 5 years.

Craig Murphy, Regional Managing Director at Keepmoat Homes in Greater Manchester commented: “The last 12 months have been fantastic for the business as we both worked to establish the region and to grow our development pipeline. I’m pleased to say that we have worked with some fantastic partners including Salford City Council, Rochdale Borough Council, Manchester City Council, Oldham Council, Hyndburn Council, Burnley Council and Wigan Council.

“In addition to delivering the much needed new homes the region needs we have also been actively supporting the communities in which we are working through a variety of activities. In fact we were delighted to win a Social Value Award for the ‘Best Business Contribution to Social Value’ at the end of 2018. This award recognised the work we undertook with partners to tackle the issue of people not in education, employment or training (NEETS) in the Salford area.

“Looking ahead to the next 12 months and beyond we will be continuing to grow our team in order to ensure we can deliver the quality new homes people need in the places people want to live.”

Sandy McBride, Divisional Chairman at Keepmoat Home, North West and Scotland, added: “It’s been a fantastic first year for our Greater Manchester division, which has seen continued success since its inception. I know Craig and the whole team will continue to work with our partners and customers to further grow our business across the region and importantly deliver the new homes people need in the places they want to live.”
