Lancashire-based building society appoints Leeds digital agency

Marsden Building Society has appointed creative and digital agency DS.Emotion to review and develop its internal brand strategy.  The appointment supports Marsden’s growth ambition in the coming years and will help deliver its plans for both customers and employees.

Lancashire based Marsden has been established since 1860 and employs over 90 staff across 8 regional branches. Marsden supports customers with savings, mortgages, home insurance and life planning as well as supporting mortgage intermediaries and their clients.  It has achieved numerous industry awards for its customer focus and service excellence.

DS.Emotion has undertaken a comprehensive review of Marsden’s current brand language and behaviour through a series of internal workshops and surveys among staff, Non-Executive Directors and members to identify common values.  It has subsequently created a definitive ‘Brand Book’ which guides all Marsden employees about identity, practice ethics, behaviour and image consistency.

Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive at Marsden said, “We are delighted with the expert guidance received by DS.Emotion.  We have been on quite a journey to encapsulate more than 155 years of service delivery to our customers taking the traditional approach of a building society and shaping this to support our future ambition.  The team at DS Emotion were pivotal in helping us to develop our values and have delivered an approach that we are confident will be welcomed by our staff and support the Society’s ambition.”
