Liverpool’s Mayfly Hire New Recruits and Win Distillery Contract

Liverpool based Mayfly Internet Marketing are celebrating 10 years in business this year and have taken another step forward by hiring two more employees.

Elena Hubert (23) and Thomas Abbate (26) have both recently completed their Masters in Digital Marketing at John Moores University, and have their roots on the European continent. Thomas hails from Belgium and spent a brief time as a freelance marketer before specialising in the field of SEO. Elena, from Germany, has joined the team with a focus on the expanding Social Media services that the company is now offering.

Recently, Mayfly have been securing more work in the drinks industry. On the back of a series of site builds completed for Halewood’s spirit brands and a number of successful sponsored events with Liverpool FC, Mayfly have been managing the social accounts of these brands, raising awareness throughout the city and the rest of the country. The success of these brands and growth in the sector has lead to Halewood opening their first drinks experience venture: The Liverpool Gin Distillery.

Opening on the 26th November in Liverpool’s historic Castle Street, the Liverpool Gin Distillery will welcome visitors to take part in a combination of experiences. A Distillery Tour and four flight Gin Tasting gives visitors the chance to become acquainted with the processes behind the drink, whilst purpose-built Gin Laboratories on the first floor invite visitors to produce a personalised bottle of gin that they can take away as a souvenir.

The newly strengthened Mayfly Internet Marketing will be promoting this exciting new venture through a multi-tiered social marketing campaign, featuring a series of targeted competitions and events promotions that will be raising awareness for the Distillery, and encouraging positive engagement from Liverpool Gin’s current audience base—who will no doubt be looking forward to the imminent opening.

Director of Mayfly, Liam Patton, says, “Liverpool Gin is synonymous with this great city, so to be responsible for pushing the Distillery through social media activity is a great honour for us, and dovetails nicely with the other marketing work we do with Halewood. Thomas & Elena’s appointments have come at a perfect time as we are securing new clients regularly, as well as working with our longstanding client base.”
