Long-serving Leeds employee recognised in major regional award

Sarah Pratt, PA to Rhodar’s managing director and the wider board, has been recognised with the top accolade at the Yorkshire PA Awards, winning the coveted trophy for PA of the Year, having also been shortlisted for the Members’ Member of the Year and Best Organised Event Awards.

Sarah, from Leeds, is one of Rhodar’s longest serving employees, having been with the Leeds based asbestos removal, demolition and remediation specialists for over 11 years.
Sarah has been a crucial asset to Rhodar, providing invaluable day-to-day support whilst also playing a key role in organising the business’ annual conference for over 200 employees and overseeing Rhodar’s charitable programmes. Sarah has been a driver of many staff fundraising initiatives enabling Rhodar to donate thousands of pounds to worthy causes and last year the company raised over £10,000 for its chosen charities, WellChild and Ataxia.

Commenting on Sarah’s win, Rhodar MD Jason Davy said: “Sarah is a huge asset to Rhodar and I am so pleased that she has been recognised for the amazing job she does in providing support to me personally and our business every day – she really does go above and beyond. Sarah is loyal, hardworking and conscientious – everyone at Rhodar is very proud and it’s brilliant to see her in the spotlight as it is so well deserved.”

Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to have received the PA of the Year Award for my work with Rhodar and was really flattered to be recognised in this way. I’d like to congratulate all the nominees and winners, and to the award organisers for a wonderful event.”
Sarah’s award comes as Rhodar recently launched its rebrand taking its end-to-end specialist enabling works service to market.

The Yorkshire PA Awards were established by Marion Lowrence, director of The PA Hub, and co-director Jon Lowrence, after Marion won both a former Yorkshire PA of the Year award in 2011 and the International Pitman Training Super Achievers PA of the Year award the following year, who wanted to increase recognition and celebrate the work of Personal Assistants around Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire PA awards, hosted by BBC presenter Tanya Arnold on the 28 June at the Pavilion in Leeds, are in their fourth year and exist to shine a spotlight on the often inconspicuous work of Personal Assistants around Yorkshire.
